The game contains a randomly generated enormous universe containing possibly a thousand solar systems and even more planets. It has black holes, neutron stars, gas giants, deserts, tundras, forests, etc. Each planet also contains different quantities of resources, but will always have iron and Copper as a resource.
The Universe is a 200 x 200 grid with a decent chance of a solar system spawning in each of the cells. These solar systems also have their own grids that have explorable planets and possibly other stars. Coordinates (x, y, z, w) are used to navigate the grids, with xy for the main grid and zw for the solar system's grid.
The StarMap is a craftable object that once powered, will visualise nearby stars or planets. Telescopes can be used to look at a planet in detail (e.g. if it's tidally locked, what resources are present, does it have oxygen, etc.)
The HyperDrive is an essential object for space travel. If it is supplied with enough power, you can travel to any part of the universe. (but you cannot use it to land on a planet)
Planets & Stars[edit | hide all | hide | edit source]
There are currently 6 types of stars and 8 planet biomes you can find while exploring. Each planet is different from one another but biomes usually share the same traits.

When you enter the game, you can choose an earth-like planet to spawn on, there are always four, and they will change every once in a while to avoid lag.
