Exotic planets are unpredictable, heavily randomized planets.

- Almost every aspect of an exotic planet is randomized
- Their terrain is split up into larger continents separated by deep, expansive grooves.
- They usually don't contain vegetation, and can have one homogenous biome or be composed of multiple biomes.
- Mountains often appear incredibly tall and are quite common. Despite this, their ore abundance remains in line with other types of planets, being moderate. Resources are generated from the standard set.
- Their temperature is usually in a hospitable range, and is never extreme. Their atmosphere usually isn't breathable.
- These planets always have the same texture in orbit
Colonization[edit | hide | edit source]
There is not much to be said about the colonization of an Exotic planet. They are similar to terras in some regards, but barren planets in others. One with favourable generation may serve quite well for ore exploitation. Permanent structures are of course possible, but will be hindered by the colossal mountains. May the odds be ever in your favour if you decide to settle one of these planets.
