'''Volcanic''' planets are a removed planet type. They were similar to [[barren]] planets. They were never close to being fully implemented, which is evident as they were nearly an exact clone of barren planets and did not even contain any lava. They were scrapped in late 2020 due to the lack of progression in their development.

The in-game universe contains several types of planets. These spherical objects vary in their terrain, resources (and their abundance), conditions, size, appearance, and in the presence (or lack thereof) of planetary rings. Each of these planets harbor the potential for colonization and resource exploitation, with every single one occupying a potential usage niche: barren planets may prove advantageous for a mining operation due to their rich resource deposits, while terra planets may provide hospitable conditions well suited to colonization efforts.

Planet's orbits can be visited by simply using a HyperDrive, while entering the planet itself requires flying into it from its orbit. A Teleporter can also be used to visit a planet or its orbit. Each planet is located at some specific local coordinates within a given solar system (the star is located at some coordinates x, y; while the planets themselves are located at some coordinates x, y, z, w)

There are an estimated 8500 planets in the universe. In the future, planets may include alien life and randomly generated structures.

Volcanic planets are a removed planet type. They were scrapped in late 2020 due to progress on them halting while also being underdeveloped; which was evident as they were a nearly exact clone of barren planets and did not even contain any lava.
