Gas/Oil power is a form of power generated by using a CombustionTurbine to burn Gasoline produced by a Refinery. It is decent for starting up a base, it is quite cheap since it mainly requieres iron, copper and rubber to craft all the components and it produces enough power to power up a small base, producing power at a rate of around 65/Power Per Tick.

Gas Power Tutorial[edit | hide all | hide | edit source]

For this tutorial, you will need the following resources and parts:

First, find a Stone deposit to place the Extractor on. Make sure there are no other extractors on the same deposit within 50 studs of yours.

Here are the next following steps to setup gasoline power generation:

If you did it right, your setup should look like the image on the right side of the page. Now, to kickstart the process, place the Battery on the Wire if needed.

Congratulations! You now have gas power!!!

    Possible issues[edit | hide | edit source]

    - If your refinery stops working after rejoining the game, you can try placing another filter configured to petroleum, connect it to the refinery, then place a container connected to that filter, you can then add a faucet to remove any excess petroleum from that container. Note that faucets will turn off when rejoining the server, so transformer is recommended.

    - Do not put a filter when connecting the Oil container to the refinery, since the refinery won't be able to use the oil inside such container.

    - If the problem seems to be the oil extractor, try removing and placing the extractor again, since sometimes, when leaving and rejoining a planet, extractors will part shift, causing them to no longer being attached to a stone deposit/mountain, therefore causing them to not be able to mine Oil; to prevent part shifting completely, try separating your extractor systems, assembly lines, and other systems by using antennas and transporters instead of wire and chute systems

    - Using wires, chutes and pipes is completely fine while you don't connect everything in your base, specially every single extractor, with them.
