Parts template changed

Hello editors, You are likely here due to following the link in a certain notice, meaning you should know what this is about. If not, allow me to directly cite the notice; The Parts template has recently had additional fields added. Your collaboration is required to successfully integrate these into the wiki.

The four new additional fields which have been added are: DefaultSize, DefaultColor, Consumes, and Outputs. To make the wiki even better, your help is required with the following:

• Please switch all part pages to the new format, you'll be able to find a link to it where the old one usually was; on the main page in the contributing section.
• Manually fill out the consumes and outputs fields if necessary. If possible include the rate at which it consumes said resources as well. Power counts as a resource in this case.

Thank you as always for making knowledge more accessible for everyone by editing this wiki. Wiki editors who have recently been active and have contributed content of both sufficient quality and quantity can expect to receive additional roles. Reasons why bugs and glitches should be in Community Category

This is due to these tried by players. The game is in alpha stage and the game description says you can encounter bugs and glitches. These bugs and glitches may or may not be a part of Roblox Engine. Developers may not know these bugs. There are many bug reports around Eggs D Studios discord server and Roblox groups. It will take time for Developers to fix these bugs and glitches in the game. - Anonymous User, Sunday, 10:13 AM, February 18th, 2024 (UTC)

I agree for the most part. I'll use this to go on a bit of a tangent on why Category:Community was even created and what belongs there.

The community category was created to unify unofficial(-ish) articles under a common category to warn readers that they may contain information that is unofficial or unintended; that is, that the information contained therein may be subject to drastic change (or removal) without any prior notice or indication. It also serves as a way for articles like Tip&Tricks or 0,0,0,0 to exist on the wiki. While these do not document a concrete, official part of the game, they still contain useful and interesting knowledge. It would be a shame not to preserve it in some way, and potentially even pass it down.

When writing the wiki we strive to be objective. However, this need not be the case all of the time. Perhaps, sometimes we can just have a little fun. --Axenori (talk) 11:39, 18 February 2024 (UTC)

Deletion reasoning for factions/players

(Hi! Just a heads up. This is meant for editors wondering what the deletion reason was for faction/player pages. If this doesn't describe you, it likely won't be of interest to you.)

Articles about players or groups of players are not welcome on this wiki as they are:

1) Prone to becoming obsolete. Players inevitably stop actively playing, effectively rendering these kinds of articles useless. This becomes impossible to indefinitely maintain as only administrators can delete pages, and the same principle as for players applies. Factions are groups of players so this directly extends to them as well.

2) Sources of griefing. Factions start conflicts. Factions make enemies. It is only a matter of time until a faction pisses someone off who has enough initiative to grief their wiki page. Then, the faction which got griefed will likely want some oh so sweet revenge; so they make a derogatory page about the player who griefied them. And on goes the cycle of griefing, making everyone but the two perpetrators more miserable. Unrelated pages may be caught in this griefing as well, degrading the quality of the wiki and making it harder to maintain.

3) Selfish, in the worst possible way. This wiki is not a billboard to promote your agenda, or your community. The wiki strives to be a source of useful and interesting knowledge about the game; free (as in freedom) for everyone, forever. We left F*ndom (among other reasons) to not get bombarded by ads. Lets not bring them back.

As this wiki is by the users, for the users; if there is a large enough push by the users and or editiors, we could compromise on a solution like organizing these types of articles into a single list so the community can self-regulate and prune bad additions without potentially wiki-disrupting permissions which griefers could use to cause catastrophic damage. RE: Hello! I think it is. One of the (now former) developers of the game added the lore to the main page a while back (you can see the revision here). I believe one of the developers may have also confirmed this exact lore on the community discord, though I'm not sure anymore. --Axenori (talk) 22:34, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
