Yes, spawn points are optional. they're listed here as mandatory however because cheaping out on one is absolutely not a good idea and if starters saw this in optional components they'd likely think to themselves: "eh, whatever. I won't die anyways, right?" only to do exactly that and not be able to recover their ship. While not true this makes the guide much better so it's worth-it-ish I suppose? --> |
