The Railgun is a long range kinetic weapon which uses electricity to send piercing rails through obstacles. Unlike Artillery, the rails hit the target in an instant.
Its appearance is a part covering textures on every side and has a hole on the front side. It also has a recharge effect. Its projectiles uses white as its color and it is very long as its shooting range says.
When it is connected to a power supply, railguns will charge for one minute and give off a large amount of heat making nearby players damaged. After this process is complete, the weapon will return to normal and be able to be fired with a regular trigger signals.
The effectiveness of the projectile improves with every ten studs in a distance, which, coupled with its piercing property, can produce devastating, great damage if it is used from a long distance away between railguns and obstacles.
The expensive crafting recipe also includes alien cores, which are only obtainable through scavenging alien ships.

"Fires a piercing rail at high speeds. A long range weapon. Requires rails and electricity for ammo. Damage increases for every 10 studs of length.pierce if the hit part is destroyed. Must be at least have a width and height of 6 and at least a length of 30 to function. While Railgun is similar to Artillery, the Railgun is nearly instant while Artillery is a projectile weapon. Requires to charge for one minute before it can fire. While charging and when charged, it creates large amount of heat. Charging status resets when this part is damaged. When it is finished charging, it will stop creating a sound. At that point, it must be triggered and supplied by a rail bin in order to fire. "
