"Fires a concentrated beam of energy when powered, which is used to mine objects such as asteroids, mountains and ore deposits. This works similar to an extractor, except it indirectly extracts power from other natural sources. When the laser hits an object, it will extract resources from that object and put it in attached bins. Very useful for creating mining vehicles to extract resources. Unlike the extractor however, this is far more efficient. The MiningLaser outputs 2 resources per second, unlike the extractor which only does 2. This means the laser is 1.5x more efficient. However, the mining laser generates more heat than the extractor. At least 2 coolers are recommended per mining laser." |
