The April Fools 2021 update was a joke update that happened on March 31, 2021, 6:30 PM EST and ended on April 2, 2021, 3:10 AM EST. Most notably, the update changed a significant amount of textures into very epic and meme ones, as well as making the Obamium badge obtainable.

Obamium[edit | hide | edit source]
The update added a new part called Obamium. When crafted, it awards the player who crafts it a badge. 78 players were able to obtain this badge while it was still craftable.
It is said that Obamium corrupted everything in the Waste of Space cinematic universe, causing the universe to descend into chaos.
Obamium cannot be resized, and has a size of 4x4x4. Despite this, it is the strongest obtainable part in the game.
Obamium was not deleted after the update was over. As it was only obtainable during April Fools, the mineral had become more and more valuable until the universe reset of 2-28-22, where it would become completely inaccessible.
Retextures[edit | hide | edit source]
A large amount of parts got retextured or remodeled to have random, strange textures. A collection of screenshots from the craft menu is available in the gallery.
- Wires, TriggerWires, and Chute became cylindrical
- Many templates were given an Among Us drip mesh, as well as Refineries and SteamTurbines
- Grass was given the same texture as Obamium
- Bins became circular
- Stone and diamond were given their equivalent textures from Minecraft
- Many other objects had their textures set to random images uploaded by Roblox users, including old screenshots, ancient lolcat memes, and other strange images.
Other Changes[edit | hide | edit source]
The Assembler sound effect has been replaced by a short sample from Thanos Beatbox Solo - Cartoon Beatbox Battles.
Ambient colors cycle through the rainbow when a part is spawned in.
New music was heard, what the music was is currently unconfirmed.
Trivia[edit | hide | edit source]
- When the update was first released, the Obamium item did not give the badge.
- This was later fixed, however the developers had temporarily broken region loading for a short time.
- Only one thing on the official changelog (obamium) was known to be added.
- It is unknown whether a secret was actually added on a planet during this time, as no players have discovered it.
