Vehicles allow for easy and relatively cheap transportation of structures and players on planets. It allows for fast transportation. Note that the player's sprinting (Hold shift) can be fast, a car can be faster, allowing for faster transport. There are several types of vehicles, including Cars, Planes, Boats.
Car
The idea of a car is pretty simple. Motors spin wheels, wheels move it forward, and VehicleSeat steers it. Most cars have very slow acceleration, but speeds up to high speeds, even faster than the players sprint sometimes.
A basic car has these parts in them:
*A baseplate, usually made out of [[
*A VehicleSeat, configured to Horizontal and used for steering the vehicle.
*
*Either a PowerCell or Antenna. Antenna is recommended to save weight.
*Four Motors
*Wheels. Cleat cylinders are highly recommended, but tires can be used too.
Boat
Similarly to car, the idea is pretty simple. Hull makes boat float, VehicleSeat steers, and Sail provides propulsion. A basic boat has these parts in them:
*Hull, required component of a boat, as you don't want your boat to be on the ground! Heavier boats may require more than one.
*VehicleSeat set to horizontal to steer.
*Sail or other propulsion like Propeller to provide propulsion. Sail is recommended as it requires no resource/power upkeep so you can make the simplest boat possible.
Plane
A plane is a great way to transport across planets, because they're fast and can travel over mountains and rocks. The basic parts of a plane are listed below:
*Wing. This is ESSENTIAL as it is the only way to provide lift for a plane (Besides CrudeWing, which is NOT recommended).
*Body, can be made of Iron, Titanium, or Aluminum. Aluminum is recommended because it is lighter.
*VehicleSeat. This is required to steer your plane. Do NOT put it on horizontal like the vehicles above, as you require to move up/down too.
*Propulsion. Sail is good because it requires no power/resource upkeep, however Propeller is recommended because of its power.
Blimp
Blimp, balloon, zeppelin, call it what you like. They're all the same idea. A giant airship thingy in the sky, kept there by lighter-than-air flight. The idea is simple, a Balloon is in the sky, a VehicleSeat steers it, and a propulsion device such as Sail propels it, and a Gyro keeps it upright. The basic parts include:
*Balloon. Essential, as it keeps your blimp in the air. You need to be able configure the Balloon to control how much it goes up and down. To make this easier, you could program to automatically configure it when you press a keybind.
*VehicleSeat will allow you to steer your blimp, put it on horizontal mode.
*You will need propulsion. Sail is recommended, but Propeller can also be used.
*Gyro. Without it, your ship could spiral out of control. Only use the Gyro if your VehicleSeat is on horizontal mode.
*You will need Propulsion. Several different types work, like Sail and Propeller
