Ocean planets are planets whose surface is entirely covered with oceans.
Features
Despite mostly having hospitable conditions, they are difficult to traverse and inhabit due to the buoyancy and opacity of water. Both can be overcome by building out an enclosed space. A ScubaMask also helps with visibility.
Deep below their surface is the planet's seabed. It contains varying terrain and no vegetation, with occasional ore deposits. Mountainous areas are usually clumped together into "Islands", which hold most of the planet's resources. As such they are an ideal spot for establishing an submarine base or naval base.
Trivia
- Due to most players choosing more habitable planet types and the difficulty of traversing water, they can make great hiding places in this type of a planet.
