Desert planets are planets covered in sand, with very little or no water. They have hot temperatures.
Features
Scorching hot, desert planets are difficult to inhabit and settle. Although coolers are quite efficient and don't require that much electricity a reliable source of power is still a must. Due to the lack of water for reactors, building a solar farm or using fossil fuels (1, 2) may be the only option.
Similar to tundra planets they offer a balance between habitability and safety, as raiders may be discouraged by the boiling temperatures.
Traversal is not possible without preparing beforehand due to the hot temperature. A "cooler-backpack" can be fashioned by attaching a few coolers to an apparel, and using an antenna power them (and perhaps a switch in between to be able to toggle it on and off).
Their terrain is very similar to that of Terras, just with much less water and covered with sand.
