A coal BurnerGenerator is a power generator that uses a coal resource and a BurnerGenerator to make power. Coal burner generators are typically used as an early power source as they are cheap to produce and coal is available on all spawn planets.
A basic coal generator requires an extractor, a bin, a BurnerGenerator, and a PowerCell, as well as a coal resource. Attach the extractor to the resource, and set its "MaterialToExtract" property to "Coal" using the adjust setting on the hammer tool. Make sure the black hole on the extractor is facing away from the resource. Attach a bin to the extractor on the face with a hole on it. Then, place a BurnerGenerator on the bin. Finally, place a PowerCell so that it is attached to both the BurnerGenerator and the extractor (if you are having a hard time, you can place a chute between the BurnerGenerator and the bin as shown in the picture.)
